Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children (AWIC) Indian Section of International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY)
31/1/2009 Dear friend , The Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children (AWIC) the Indian Section of International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) is organizing International Conference on Children's Libraries – Building a Book Culture from 4-6 February, 2010 in New Delhi, India. AWIC is a voluntary organization dedicated to the development of quality literature and reading promotion. The aim of the first ever International Conference on Children's Libraries is to deliberate on the potential and scope of Children's Libraries in strengthening book culture. Reading Books is an important ingredient in the development of the Child's personality. The role of libraries is crucial for creating a climate that encourages reading. Eminent scholars, authors, publishers and all others interested in children and books from many countries will be participating in this event. The theme of the Conference will be deliberated under five segments, - Developing libraries for children - Suitable reading material for Children's Libraries - Children's Library Services - Children's Libraries as Catalyst for Social Change - Children's Libraries Without Borders The highlight of the Conference is the participation of IBBY-Asahi Reading Promotion Award winners from different parts of the world. They will be sharing their experiences and presenting their reading promotion projects which they have successfully organized under difficult circumstances. رنج بر دو گونه است:
رنجي كه ما خود با زير پا گذاشتن قوانين زندگي، به وسلة تفكر ناپاك، احساسات نادرست، تخيل مهار نشده و عواطف نامتوازن، براي خود به وجود ميآوريم. چنين رنجهايي در خدمت هيچ هدف مفيدي نيستند. ميتوان با تسلط داشتن بر افكار، خواسته و تخيل و هدايت نيروهاي خود، براي به انجام رساندن هدف حقيقي زندگي، از اين گونه رنجها اجتناب كرد. بيشماري از ما، بسياري رنجهاي غير ضروري براي خود ايجاد ميكنيم. براي شيري كه ريخته شدهاست گريه ميكنيم، براي چيزهايي كه اتفاق افتاده و يا هنوز روي نداده است نگران ميشويم و اجازه ميدهيم كه اين نگراني لحظة حال را خراب كند و با ترس به آيندهاي ناشناخته نگاه ميكنيم . ترس از آينده باعث ميشود كه انواع چيزهاي وحشتناك را در نظر مجسم كنيم.
نوع دوم رنج، آن است كه از سوي خداوند بر ما نازل ميشود و ناشي از شكستن قوانين زندگي نيست؛ اين رنجها بر بهترين انسانها، و شريفترين روحها نازل ميشوند. اين رنجها بر كريشنا، عيسي مسيح، بودا، زرتشت، موسي و محمد، نانك، كبير و چيتانيا و ميرا و به همة عاشقان خداوند و بشريت نازل شد. اين نوع رنج به تنهايي نميآيد؛ بلكه نيروي عظيم و آسايش را با خود ميآورد كه رنج را شيرين ميسازد. اين فرق ميان اين گونه رنج و نوع اول آن است. رنجي كه انساني براي خود خلق ميكند، در حالي كه با اين اثر آرامش بخش خداوند همراه نيست، سخت و تحملناپذير ميشود، روح آدمي را ميشكند و او را به ورطة نوميدي ميافكند، اما رنجي كه از جانب خدا بر ما نازل ميشود براي خير و خوبي ماست (حکیمی؛ کاموس، 1382، ج2، ص 172-173).
«هر چه دشواري بزرگتر باشد، انسان شريفتر ميشود».
